Mr. Show Art

When I was a late teen I became involved with an online message board where comedians and fans alike posted. The general audience were alternative comedians and their fans. Most of us were snots and delighted in nitpicking the stand up and sketch world. (Sorry, comics. Well, sorry to some of you, that is. LCK will forever be in the hate pit.)

The small crew that hung around the message boards’ chatroom have remained friends since the late nineties. These people are my family. And through them I was given knowledge and love and community.

Several years later, through this message board, I was asked to participate in a Mr. Show Art Show in Los Angeles at Nerdmelt Studios. I created a small watercolor portrait of the Bob Odenkirk character FF Woodycooks and shipped it to LA.

It appeared in the show and was purchased. It was very special to be involved in an art show where the real creators were able to see the creations.
